Queering the Collections – Seksuele en genderdiversiteit in erfgoed

Musea, bibliotheken en archieven zijn van en voor iedereen. Maar kan iedereen zich ook herkennen in de collecties? Zonder twijfel bevatten de collecties in Nederland erfgoed dat iets vertelt over mensen die wij nu lhbt’ers noemen. Toch zien we daar vrijwel niets van. Hierdoor blijven deze getuigenissen onzichtbaar en lijken ze zelfs niet te bestaan.

IHLIA probeert dit in samenwerking met andere instellingen te veranderen en wil met dit initiatief musea inspireren en prikkelen om anders naar hun collectie te kijken. En daarmee zogenoemd hun collecties te queeren. Neem gerust een kijkje en laat je informeren over de laatste ontwikkelingen op dit gebied.
